Included in both plans

Both plans include chae and resource opening, tasks, notes and sections, timeboxing, focus sessions and completion records, rhythms, Google Calendar and sync between devices.

The five AI features are task recommendations, record summaries, quick-capture classification, note task candidates and background generation. This list describes desktop features; it does not promise the same AI screens on mobile. Resource opening and permissions vary by operating system.

Team plans and mobile in-app prices are outside these personal launch conditions.

AI allowance and credit costs

Example mix: Essential supports 800 text requests plus 10 backgrounds; Signature supports 2,400 text requests plus 30 backgrounds. These examples divide one shared allowance, rather than granting separate allowances for each feature.

All five AI features share one account allowance
FeatureCredits per successful request
Task recommendation1 credit
Record summary1 credit
Quick-capture classification1 credit
Note task candidates1 credit
Background generation20 credits
  • A successful response that abstains or finds no candidates still costs 1 credit. Provider failures, invalid outputs and empty inputs that make no call cost 0.
  • Rechecking or resending the same request does not charge twice. Starting a new request is new usage, with the cost shown beforehand. Manual work and preset backgrounds use no AI credits.
  • Monthly and annual paid subscriptions reset on the first day of each month at 00:00 UTC, with no rollover. This is 09:00 on the first in Korea. The app shows your next reset in your time zone.
  • Your first confirmed paid charge provides that month’s allowance. Billing and AI reset dates differ. Annual billing does not grant a year of credits upfront.
  • AI stops at the limit. There are no automatic overage charges or additional credit purchases. Regular writing, resource opening and records under an active trial or subscription are independent of the AI limit.
  • Changing plans or repurchasing does not reset usage in the same month. An upgrade leaves the new limit minus that month’s used and reserved credits. If usage meets the lower limit after a downgrade takes effect, new AI calls wait until the next allowance.

A 14-day trial with a payment card

The trial is available once per account and starts when card registration and creation of the trial subscription complete. It includes core features, all five AI features and 200 credits total. Signing in alone does not start it.

At the end, the selected plan and billing cycle are charged automatically. Before starting, you see the end date, first charge date and amount, and how to cancel. Annual billing charges the full $348 or $588 annual total.

Customers in South Korea must separately consent to the first paid charge through Paddle’s email flow. Registering a card is not that consent. Without it, the subscription does not renew. Required local consent and notice rules also take precedence elsewhere.

  • The policy provides a start confirmation, a payment reminder email at least 7 days before trial end, and the end date and first charge amount in the app. Delivery settings must be verified before sales.
  • Cancel before trial end to avoid the first subscription charge. Access continues until the original trial end date.
  • Changing months or plans, signing out or reinstalling does not restart the trial or refill its 200 credits. Unused trial credits do not carry into paid access.
  • There is no ongoing free writing plan. Accounts that have not started a trial follow the post-subscription access rules below.

Cancellation and renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically on the selected monthly or annual cycle. Open subscription management from the account area in app settings, or use the management link in your Paddle receipt, to cancel. Contact support if you cannot access it.

Cancellation stops the next renewal. Access continues until the paid period or original trial ends. Canceling alone does not request a refund or delete your account or data.

Account deletion is separate from subscription cancellation. Cancel automatic renewal with the purchase provider and confirm it before deleting your account.

Payment failures use only the provider’s grace period. If subscription verification fails, we ask you to recheck and preserve stored data.

14-day first-payment refund guarantee

Our customer policy offers a full refund when requested within 14 days of your first paid Hanchae charge. It includes the first charge after a trial and both monthly and annual subscriptions. Used AI costs are not deducted.

This is a one-time guarantee for your first paid Hanchae purchase. Repurchases, plan changes and renewals do not each start a new 14-day guarantee. Later, we do not normally offer a prorated refund for simply changing your mind; mandatory rights and remedies for defective or undelivered services take precedence.

Request a refund through Paddle buyer support or Hanchae support with your billing email, receipt or transaction number and request details. Do not send full card numbers or passwords. Paddle processes the refund; requests are not all approved automatically.

A full refund of the current service period ends that paid entitlement, while keeping your data. Refunding a past charge does not arbitrarily cancel a separately valid current subscription.

Plan and billing-cycle changes

The adopted policy makes upgrades within the same billing cycle immediate, with proration for unused time. Downgrades and monthly↔annual changes take effect at the next billing renewal. Changing tier and cycle together also takes effect at the next billing renewal.

An annual-plan downgrade takes effect at the next annual billing renewal, not the monthly AI reset. Trial changes require review of the first charge conditions and do not reset the trial period or allowance.

Before confirmation, you see the next billing date, any charge now, the new total and AI limit. The $29/$49 annual monthly equivalents are not monthly charges or refund calculation amounts.

Your data after access ends

Ending a subscription alone does not delete tasks, notes or session records. You can finish sessions started before expiry and complete records or changes already accepted. Unsent drafts are preserved and can be exported.

Offline writing is allowed within the validity of your last server-verified entitlement. Expired or unverified access limits new paid work and requires rechecking. Network errors do not discard your data or drafts.

Account deletion removes account data and trial history through the deletion workflow. Short retention for activity and AI previews, and separate transaction and backup retention, are described in Privacy.

Original files, exported copies, events already created in Google Calendar and copies on offline devices are not all erased by account deletion.

Moving from the beta

The current 60 monthly credits are a beta test configuration. The launch allowances above have not been applied to production.

We announce a paid transition at least 14 days beforehand. Existing beta accounts must also register a card and create a trial subscription to start the trial. Beta participation alone does not authorize charges, and we do not silently delete existing data.

Before publication

  • Paddle live approval and real transaction acceptance for all four prices, trials, notices, Korean consent, first charges, renewals and refunds.
  • Prevent repeat or duplicate subscriptions through public purchase links; verify plan change execution and scheduling.
  • Verify expiry notices and recovery of offline data and drafts on Windows, older clients and mobile.
  • Confirm business details, contacts, address and effective date; publish final Terms and Privacy and connect purchase consent.
